Equality, respect and safety for LGBT workers

Today (Monday 19 July), NAHT has added its name to a TUC letter to the minister for women and equalities, Liz Truss, calling for an urgent reset in the government’s approach to LGBT rights.

The letter outlines concerns about the stopping of the 2018 LGBT Action Plan and the decision to disband the LGBT Advisory Panel.

It also highlights the risk that LGBT+ workers face at work in terms of harassment, discrimination and bullying.

The letter urges the government to consult with unions on a strategy to make sure workplaces are safe for all LGBT+ people.

You can access the full letter here.
