If you are an NAHT member and need to get in touch about an issue you are currently facing, please use the form below.
Please note: Specialist Advice will be closed on Thursday 30 November, and will also have very limited availability on Friday 1 December 2023 because of team-wide training. We will endeavour to deal with urgent enquiries as quickly as possible, and we will be open as usual on Monday 4 December 2023.
If you have been contacted by the police and require representation, please contact Thompsons Solicitors on 0800 587 7530. In the meantime, please indicate to the police that you are willing to attend for interview but have been advised by your professional association that you should not do so without a lawyer present. If for any reason Thompsons cannot be contacted, please ask for the services of the Duty Solicitor. Once the police interview is completed the please email the NAHT Legal Team at legal@naht.org.uk with your details and the Duty Solicitor’s name and address, we will then contact you when our offices reopen.
If you are a member, you can also access the helpline provided for NAHT by Education Support. Education Support’s helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is completely confidential and provides you with support by telephone or online from specialist call handlers and counsellors who understand the demands of working in education.
