NAHT Annual Conference in the news with capital funding motion

NAHT has released new data from a survey of members on capital funding, with half of school leaders saying they have areas of their school out of use or unfit for purpose.

The story is the first of a week of Annual Conference coverage, and relates to Motion 19, to be heard and voted on this Saturday.

The findings were discussed by NAHT president Angi Gibson on ITV’s Good Morning Britain today, with an interview and footage from National Executive Committee member Nicola Kearney at her school near St Helens.

The story was further reported by the Guardian, which included it as one of their top 5 stories of the day in their morning briefing, and by the Daily Mail who highlighted that 20% of respondents said their SEND facilities are 'not fit for purpose'.

The story also appeared in The Times, Metro, and the i Paper in print, with more online coverage by TES, Schools Week and the Independent among others.

You couldn’t miss it on the radio either, with interviews broadcasting on LBC News, Times Radio, and across Sky News Radio, Global Radio and Radio News Hub.
