Travel expenses

Finance & Personnel committee will allow reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses for voting delegates (mileage or standard class train). Ticket receipts must be provided with your expense form. If driving, only the driver is entitled to claim mileage.

When considering how you will travel to the conference please consider all costs to ensure we are getting best value from our funds for all Members. If you chose to drive please consider, where possible, sharing your car with colleagues; as well as being financially astute, this is of course more environmentally friendly. The cost of car parking will be considerable so please ensure you are utilising any discounts possible for example hotel discounts or pre-booking. The maximum car parking fee that will be claimable will be £100, based on prices as advertised in January 2020.  A receipt must be presented with any car parking claim. If you chose to travel by train, please check in advance for any rail works that may impact on your journey; given our conference is over a bank holiday this is highly possible. Once you are comfortable train travel is your best option, please ensure you book your ticket early to ensure you get the best discount.
