Jersey General Election 2022

NAHT Jersey along with NASUWT, NEU, Prospect, and Unite has produced a charter for education for General Election 2022 which sets out four key priorities:

  • Meeting the needs of all children
  • Well-being
  • Funding
  • Recruitment, retention and development of education staff.

We urge all prospective candidates to place these at the heart of everything they do if elected to the States Assembly.

The manifesto can be read in full here

Pledge for education

We are also calling on all candidates to sign up to our pledge for education:

‘I pledge to work with the profession, listening to and acting on the views of education professionals in the best interests of all learners. I commit to working with the Jersey joint education trade unions on their Charter for Education.’

To sign up for the pledge, please share this image on social media with the hashtag #JsyEduPledge.

If you have any queries, please contact Regional Organiser, Maria Barrow via maria.barrow@naht.org.uk.
