Bullying is an issue that NAHT takes seriously all year round, but next week’s Anti-Bullying Week should help shine a brighter light on this widespread, and very destructive, issue. It will hopefully also spark useful debates about how we can all play our part in building kinder, more inclusive communities – including in our schools.

That’s one of the reasons why NAHT is partnered with Diversity Role Models (DRM).

DRM is a UK LGBT+ education charity with a vision of a world where everybody embraces diversity and can thrive.

Marking Anti-Bullying Week, Diversity Role Models has been selected to deliver a new funded project called 'Embracing Difference, Ending Bullying' – which empowers schools to take a stand against all forms of bullying.

DRM will work with schools in England and supply training interventions and resources which ensure staff have the knowledge and skills to tackle and prevent bullying to create inclusive school cultures, anchored in training about diversity and the protected characteristics.

The programme aims to reach up to 20,000 staff and 4,500 students, with delivery planned to commence from January 2022 across England only.
