This advice concerns head teachers’ pay in maintained schools with delegated budgets where the governing body is the relevant body, and also relates to those entitled under their contract of employment to be paid as head teachers, including members employed in outdoor education centres, pupil referral units and local authority central services, where the LA is the relevant body.
