Standing up for belonging: NAHT at Pride 2026

This year, NAHT members took part in ten Pride events across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, representing our strongest Pride presence to date. From local community marches to major city celebrations, our members showed that equality, inclusion and belonging remain at the heart of our union.

The fight for justice is a core tenet of our movement and, at a time when LGBT+ rights are increasingly being challenged, our visible support is more important than ever. Pride is not simply a celebration of LGBT+ identity. It is a public expression of our belief that every child, education professional and family should feel valued, respected and able to be their authentic selves.

This year's feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Members valued the opportunity to connect with one another, celebrate together and build relationships with like-minded organisations. Members also tell us that seeing NAHT represented at Pride is both personally meaningful and professionally important.

Join us in 2027

As we look ahead to Pride 2027, we'd love to see even more members get involved. Whether you're LGBT+, an ally, or simply passionate about inclusive schools, Pride is a chance to connect with fellow members and champion the values you promote every day in education.

Bring your colleagues, wear your NAHT colours and help us send a clear message: education is for everyone.
