This Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy session will equip you with new skills to help manage the stress that all too often comes with being a leader in education. You will better understand the body’s physiological response to stress before learning powerful techniques to counteract it. Visualising challenging scenarios whilst actively managing your physical and emotional response will better prepare you for the challenges not only at work but in other aspects of your life as well. By using these practical, evidence-based strategies for a few minutes a day, you will be able to switch off when you want to, release pent up muscular tension, stop negative thought patterns, build your own resilience, secure your confidence and avoid the burn out that is so common in the sector.

Aims

At the end of the workshop you will be able to…

●    Identify how long term stress affects the body and mind, so that you can spot the early warning signs of stress.

●    Have self awareness of your personal stress so that you can take action to combat challenging situations.

●    Have learnt two practical techniques, so that you have strategies to take away and immediately act upon that will allow you to switch off, stop negative thought patterns and release muscular tension to allow you to relax.

Jenny Mills

With a background of nearly twenty years in primary education, Jenny Mills understands the challenges and contradictions that come with being a teacher and leader. After years of having the wellbeing of herself and her colleagues given lip service, she decided to train as a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist in order to help others to bring about real change and achieve balance. She delivers workshops to teachers, following up with additional sessions and support for those individuals who are ready to leave behind their unhealthy coping mechanisms in order to bring their best to their personal and professional lives.
