NAHT Crown Dependencies

NAHT represents school leaders in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. We provide advice, training and support for our members on a range of issues faced by senior leaders in schools. Along with our colleagues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, NAHT is there to defend and extend the rights of school leaders. 

Pay and conditions for teachers in residential establishments (England and Wales)

Pay and conditions for teachers in residential establishments are aligned with those in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) or the Pay and Conditions Document for Wales, as well as the Burgundy Book. 

However, there are a small number of allowances and pay scales that are not covered by the above provisions but are instead agreed by the Joint Negotiating Committee for Teachers in Residential Establishments (JNCTRE), of which NAHT is a member. 

The 2023 circular has now been released with details of pay and conditions for teachers in residential establishments that are not covered by the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document, the Pay and Conditions Document for Wales or the Burgundy Book. It is located below.
