NAHT Northern Ireland AGM and School Fund Seminar
The NAHT Northern Ireland Annual General Meeting is taking place on Wednesday 19 November 2025 in the Dunadry Hotel, Antrim, from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
This will be an opportunity for members to hear about the important work undertaken by NAHT officials on the National Executive, the Northern Ireland Regional Executive and sectoral committees.
After lunch at 1pm, the School Fund Seminar will be led by Ian Poultney, NAHT Northern Ireland regional officer and representatives from EA Internal Audit who will identify key areas of concern that schools need to consider to avoid falling foul of procedure. The auditors are keen to answer your questions during this session, so come with plenty.
As the school fund is such a topical issue at present, we are opening this session to non-members as we don't want to see any school leader in a compromised position. We are therefore asking you to invite your principal/vice-principal colleagues from other unions and to share this information via your principal WhatsApp groups. Any non-member wanting to come for this session can email nahtni@naht.org.uk to register. Please note that only NAHT members can be present for the morning session.

Readiness for nursery school
We are asking all NAHT nursery principals and primary principals with a nursery school to complete a survey on readiness for nursery. The survey will close on 30 November 2025.

Registration open: Early Years Conference
Registration is now open for our ever-popular Early Years Conference. Members can choose to attend the conference along with their staff team on Thursday 5 February 2026 or Friday 6 February 2026. The conference is repeated over the two days in the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick.
The conference will focus on optimising children's brain development through physical and sensory play and will be led by Dr Sinead Davies of Brain Box NI and Ciara Collins of SpaceKraftNI.
