Commenting as students in Wales receive their GCSE and other vocational results today, Laura Doel, national secretary of school leaders’ union NAHT Cymru, said:
“Congratulations to all students receiving their GCSE and other vocational results today. These grades will be the culmination of years of hard work by pupils who have gone through secondary school post covid, as well as the teachers who have supported them, and they should all be very proud of their achievements.
“Next year will be the start of a new range of GCSEs made for Wales in line with the new curriculum, so there is a busy year of transition ahead. NAHT Cymru will continue to campaign for teachers and leaders to get all the funding and training required so they can deliver these for our learners.”
