Sharon is an exceptionally effective, committed and skilled professional with experience of strategic governance in the private, public and third sector, spanning almost three decades. As Founder of the National Black Governors Network, Board Member for the Diocese of Birmingham and a Member of the DfE’s Advisory Group on Governance, Sharon has also fulfilled roles as Interim Head of Governance for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and is a Licensed Assessor for Governance whilst clerking in various school settings.
Delivering across all key stages of education and in other public and private sectors, Sharon designs and delivers leadership and governance training where she focuses on inspiring individuals to improve across all areas, for the ultimate benefit of the stakeholders they serve. She is highly experienced in staff training and leadership coaching at both operational and strategic levels, with key clients being the NHS in Birmingham, Suffolk County Council and Northumberland County Council. With excellent communication and IT skills at her core, Sharon is also experienced in developing governance policies and protocols for international companies such as Emirates Post Group and Jordan Tourism Board through her role with The Governance Forum. Developing and maintaining stakeholder networks and professional relationships, Sharon ensures the resources and finances of any organisation she serves, are maximised to achieve the best possible outcomes for its stakeholders.
