Professor Sam Wass

Sam Wass is a child psychologist and neuroscientist who leads the BabyDevLab at the University of East London. He is an expert in child concentration and child stress. He has held research fellowships from the British Academy and Economic and Social Research Council UK, and is a current holder of a 5-year award from the European Research Council.

Sam appeared on Channel 4's The Secret Life of 4 and 5 Year Olds.

In addition, Sam is very active in the public communication of science. He appears regularly as a press spokesperson for public organisations including the Department of Education and Public Health England, and for commercial organisations including Lego, Disney+ and many others. Sam also runs training for practitioners working in Early Years

Jan Dubiel

Jan Dubiel is a nationally and internationally recognised specialist in Early Childhood Education and was identified by the Times Educational Supplement as one of the ten most influential people in British education. Jan was previously Head of National and International development at Early Excellence; he has worked as a YN, YR and Y1 teacher, Senior leader, Consultant and adviser and national lead on the management of the (Early Years) Foundation Stage Profile with QCA. he has written widely on different aspects of Early Years policy ,pedagogy and practice. His first book “Effective Assessment in the EYFS” was published by SAGE in 2014.

Amanda Spielman

Amanda Spielman has been Ofsted Chief Inspector since 2017. She was previously Chair of the exam regulator Ofqual from 2011 to 2016, and a founding member of the leadership team at the multi-academy trust Ark Schools. Before that she spent more than 15 years in strategy consulting, finance and investment.
