Place2Be - NAHT President's charity 2019-20

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity providing school-based support and in-depth training programmes to improve the emotional well-being of pupils, families, teachers and school staff.

Half of adult mental health issues begin before the age of 14. Independent analysis has shown that Place2Be’s approach of intervening early can improve long-term outcomes for children, benefiting them and wider society.

 Place2Be also runs the annual Children’s Mental Health Week campaign (held 4th-10th February 2019, this year) – and provides free downloadable resources for schools and raising awareness and understanding of the crucial role they play in supporting pupils’ mental health.
