Working effectively with your manager to ensure successful outcomes

 In order to achieve the best possible outcomes it is vital to build strong working relationships, and to have clarity on roles and relationships. Governors and senior leaders are powerful advocates for the school, supporting it through shared goals.

Partnerships vary enormously, so understanding each context is essential to offering appropriate support. By improving partnership working you can achieve greater equality, mutual respect and satisfaction, as well as more efficient use of everyone’s time.

The key principles of partnership working are clarity, openness, trust, shared goals and values, and regular communication. This workshop provides opportunities for you to reflect on how well these principles are fulfilled in your partnerships.

Workshop Leader Profile

Dr Christine Greenland Ed.D, MA, FCIPD is an independent education consultant and an experienced facilitator and trainer. She supports local authorities, head teachers, senior leadership teams and individuals and teams at all levels.

As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, she provides advice and support on organisational change, strategic management and people management.

Through her expertise in facilitation, and as a qualified coach, she supports learning and change with individuals, and with whole school communities in all phases.

Christine has high levels of interpersonal skills, builds strong working relationships, rapport and engagement with those with whom she works. She is well informed of the ‘big picture’ and of how the education agenda impacts on schools.
