Assessing pupil progress for those working below the standard of national assessments: life beyond the Rochford review

This course will provide you with an overview of the changes to the new assessment procedures, recording and reporting within the new National Curriculum framework especially for children and young people with SEND currently working below the standard of national assessments. The course will develop the recommendations from the Rochford review, review the pre-key stage standards and examine the implications for schools following the primary assessment consultation.

It will also consider how to measure progress without levels (including P levels) and the implications for the Ofsted inspection process.

  • review the outcomes of the Rochford review Part 1 and the implications for schools following the response to the consultation of the final report
