Our new national training programme has been designed to support the development and accreditation of NAHT officials to a level at which they feel comfortable and confident to represent the interests of our members, both on a collective and individual level, and across regions and branches.
It follows a three-stage process that begins with individual and tailored coaching for those wishing to get more involved and ends with more detailed modules aimed at creating a pool of experts in workplace matters, so NAHT officials are ready to provide advice and guidance to our members in their branch and regional areas.
We’re proud to have provided expert advice and high-quality support to our members for the past 120 years. And at the heart of our success are the elected officials whose commitment to their colleagues and dedication to the profession makes them the best-placed people to represent their fellow school leaders.
We know how busy members are and how precious their time is, and that’s why it’s important for us to provide those wishing to get more involved in our work the skills and knowledge they need to take us from strength to strength.
Whether you are interested in supporting individuals experiencing difficulties at work, or running and leading campaigns on the big issues affecting everyone, there is a something here for you.
Our members can contact their regional officer or local organiser to find out more about the role of a union rep and for details about our training programme.
