NAHT has responded to the consultation on Ofsted's proposed changes to school inspection from September 2019.
While we welcome a shift in emphasis towards a more detailed examination of a school's curriculum and a reduced focus on data, the proposals fall well short of the ambition set out in the recommendations of NAHT's Accountability Commission last September.
There’s nothing that will reduce the stress and increase the reliability of judgements. It’s not the game changer needed to reduce fear, stress and the high stakes of inspection.
