The Department for Education (DfE) has released information about the EBacc performance measure and the criteria qualifications must meet to count towards it.
The attainment measure will change to a school's EBacc average point score for the results of exams taken in 2018 onwards.
To calculate a school's EBacc average point score, they will:
- add together the EBacc average point score for all pupils at the end of key stage four
- divide by the number of pupils in the group.
To calculate a pupil's average point score, they will:
- take an average of the points scored in the five EBacc subject areas.
