Safer Internet Day 2020 will be celebrated globally with the theme: ‘Together for a better internet’.
In 2020 the focus is on online identity and asking young people to consider whether they and their peers are truly free to be themselves online.
There are a range of resources available for educators to support activities. Free to download, these engaging resources look at the topic of identity online, and the ways that the internet shapes the way that young people think of themselves and others. The resources are available in English and Welsh.
There are five sets of resources, which include lesson plans, assemblies, posters, films and other quick activities, each with their own age-appropriate content and theme:
There are also resources for parents and carers to use at home with their children, including conversation starters, quick activities and more.
