NAHT originally submitted evidence to the School Teachers' Review Body (STRB) on 28th January 2018 on what changes should be made to teachers' pay and conditions in England and Wales from September 2018. The STRB then shared the evidence provided by all the teaching unions, the Department for Education, and a number of others, and invited us to provide further comment on those.
Our full statement can be found below, in which we reiterated the need for a fully funded pay award that includes a restorative element as the first step to returning real pay to 2010 levels, which should be applied to all pay ranges.
The STRB will now consider all the evidence received and we expect them to report by late Spring with their recommendations for any changes to teachers' pay and conditions.
