Harness the power of peer review

NAHT is establishing Aspire Peer Review as the leading format for peer review for schools. Every school has great practice to share, and all schools can benefit from effective collaboration with colleagues in their local area and beyond. 

NAHT Aspire is based on this principle of partnership working; it supports schools to work more effectively, share strengths and solve challenges together. It grows leaders and leadership to make schools even more successful, whatever their starting point. It is a peer review process in two or more schools that is facilitated by a lead reviewer who works with head teachers and senior leaders in each school. 

Head teachers and senior leaders are invited to explore the peer review principles and process with colleagues at either Gosfield Community Primary School in Essex on Monday 2 July 2018 (from 3.30pm to 4.30pm) or at Beaumont Community Primary School in Suffolk on Thursday 5 July 2018 (from 3.30pm to 4.30pm). 

The sessions will do the following:

  • Enable colleagues to explore what they expect from peer review and measure this against the NAHT ASPIRE model
  • Explore the nature of challenge between schools for the benefit of all leaders
  • Provide sample materials for you to use in your school.
