S2S is a secure data transfer website available to schools and Local Authorities in England and Wales. It was designed to enable Common Transfer Format (CTF) files to be sent from and to, any maintained school.
The DfE has published updated guidance for schools and local authorities on how to use the S2S secure data transfer system to send pupil data using the common transfer file.
The guidance covers:
- encrypting data;
- file formats and naming conventions;
- uploading and downloading files;
- pupil transfers;
- using the unique learner number link to access the learning records service.
