On 24 October we will be taking part in a mass lobby of parliament to call for the school funding crisis to be addressed in the upcoming Autumn Budget.
Parents, school leaders, teachers and support staff will come together with community leaders to lobby MPs for a commitment to provide schools with sufficient funding.
Join us on the day
The day will start with a pre-lobby rally and briefing at the Emmanuel Centre, Marsham St, Westminster SW1P 3DW. NAHT officers will be on hand to assist members with organising MP meetings at the venue from 9.30am.
There will be two rallies at the Emmanuel Centre where leading figures from education trade unions, parents groups and schools will be speaking. These rallies will be held at 10.30am and 1pm. It is important members attending Parliament on the day also come along to one of the rallies.
We'd like to see as many people as possible join with us at the lobby, so please do come and show your support if you can.
All those attending may claim reasonable travel expenses from the branches. If you do not know who your branch officials are then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are planning to come along, please email us so we can have an early indication of how many people will be attending.
Request a lobby meeting with your MP
We are asking MPs to put pressure on the Chancellor to invest in children and young people. Write to your MP and request a lobby meeting for 24 October here.
Use a green card on the day
Alternatively, any constituent wishing to see their MP without making a prior appointment can go to the central lobby and fill in a green card to request a meeting. More information on this can be found here.
