Today, the school funding crisis is the biggest area of concern for school and college leaders – it makes them fear for the future of their pupils and their educational provision. Most already feel they have done everything to make budgets balance including cutting staffing levels; improving their procurement practice; reviewing class sizes and curriculum; deferring all but the most critical repairs to their buildings and slashing investment in training and professional development. They have run out of options.
NAHT has therefore made a submission to the Education Select Committee on their inquiry into school and academy funding.
