If you are participating in the multiplication tables check (MTC) pilot, once you have administered the check to your pupils, please complete our short survey to tell us your experiences.
NAHT does not support the implementation of the MTC for the whole cohort of year four pupils, but government ministers are determined to introduce this.
The purpose of this survey is to gather evidence which we can use to further our discussions about the test with the Department for Education (DfE) and its impact on schools and their pupils.
The survey should only take a few minutes to complete. It asks for your experience of:
- Whether the test tells teachers anything they didn't already know about their children's knowledge of multiplication tables
- Accessibility for children with SEND
- Impact on staff workload
- Logistical issues (NCA Tools, connectivity, availability of equipment, staffing, etc).
Once you have administered the test to your pupils, please complete the survey so that we can use the data to further our case with the DfE. If another member of staff in your school is best placed to complete it, please forward the link to them.
