NAHT hosts the autism and girls forum, which aims to raise awareness and help us establish a better understanding of autism in girls. In January 2017, the forum delivered a conference entitled 'girls on the autism spectrum: the big shout!' and developed a call to action to focus its future work on the diagnosis of autism, education/training for girls with autism, research, mental health, and support for parents and carers.
The National Autistic Society (NAS), with support from the Pears Foundation, has developed a new online training module entitled women and girls on the autism spectrum, which is available to register for and access during its first year.
The module is available from 21 March 2018 at www.autismonlinetraining.com – scroll to find the module or enter 'women and girls' in the home page search. Users who have not accessed NAS modules before will need to register and create an account at the link above.
