Cynhadledd Cymru conference 2019 - Building Compassionate Communities

Thursday 17 to Friday 18 October - Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa, Cardiff

This conference will involve debate and policy making, and delegates will hear addresses from the Welsh president and guest speakers.

Those attending the conference will also have the opportunity to engage with our conference sponsors and network with colleagues.

Who should attend?

Head Teachers, Deputy Head Teachers, Middle Leaders, Assistant Head Teachers and School Business leaders across all phases, irrespective of teacher union or professional association membership, as well as Life Members.

Conference Aims
  • Enable eligible delegates to moot and vote on key policy areas
  • Establish links between our core benefits of dignity and respect, as a Rights Respecting Nation and Successful Futures
  • Empower delegates to embrace the opportunities afforded by the most radical changes to Wales' Education structure, in generations: "Schools are not franchises" (Prof. Donaldson 2016)
  • Empowering delegates in order to set the agenda as leaders and begin to exhibit the type of leadership which demands trust and respect from policy makers
  • Provide an invaluable space for delegates to network with like-minded colleagues
