Shared parental leave

Parents expecting babies or those who are adopting and have been placed or matched with a child on or after the 5 April 2015 can split up to 50 weeks of shared parental leave (SPL) between them. (Where reference is made to mothers and fathers the same principles will apply to same sex couples)
