Supporting a child's resilience at a time of crisis

sad child.jpg

A guide for school leaders, staff, parents and carers about how best to support children in the aftermath of a traumatic event, such as the Manchester bombing in May 2017.

Such an event can be extraordinarily difficult to process, not least for young children and adolescents. Children will be looking to their parents, carers, school leaders and classroom staff for guidance and support at this particularly difficult time.

We have pulled together a short advice document to help guide and shape the support that can be provided at this time.
