LGBT+ inclusion in schools

The purpose of this advice paper is to set a tone and a working framework for head teachers and school leaders, so you can support pupils that identify as LGBT+.

Your school may already have support mechanisms. This advice paper will enable you to compare the support your school provides with the legal and working framework, and refresh the awareness of staff, pupils and parents and practices in your school. It will also help to protect you in the event of any challenge that not enough is being done.
