Draft Additional Learning Needs Bill (Wales)

money.jpg

The draft Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Bill will make provision for a new statutory framework for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs (ALN). This will replace existing legislation surrounding special educational needs (SEN) and the assessment of children and young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LDD) in post-16 education and training. The draft Bill also continues the existence of the Special Educational Needs Tribunal for Wales but renames it the Education Tribunal for Wales.

Bydd Bil Drafft Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol a’r Tribiwnlys Addysg (Cymru) yn gwneud darpariaeth ar gyfer fframwaith statudol newydd i gefnogi plant a phobl ifanc ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol (ADY). Bydd hyn yn cymryd lle’r ddeddfwriaeth bresennol ynghylch anghenion addysgol arbennig (AAA) ac asesu plant a phobl ifanc gydag anawsterau a/neu anableddau dysgu (AAD) mewn addysg a hyfforddiant ôl-16. Mae’r Bil drafft hwn hefyd yn cadw bodolaeth Tribiwnlys Anghenion Addysgol Arbennig Cymru ond yn ei ailenwi fel Tribiwnlys Addysg Cymru.
