One in ten children have suffered some form of neglect in their short lives. That could mean that as many as three children in every classroom are trying to cope with attachment-related issues.
Many of today’s adopted children will have come from a background of abuse and/or neglect and may have experienced various moves through the care system. With attainment of adopted children significantly lower than their peers, adoption can seriously damage a child's life chances.
We have collaborated with Adoption UK to create advice on attachment issues and how to effectively manage these within school and the classroom.
