Workload and its impact on school leaders

In response to the issue of workload, the Secretary of State launched the 'Workload Challenge' in 2014. A year later, 2015, three reports were produced on each of the principal workload areas: marking, lesson planning and data management. Two years after the Workload Challenge was launched, the Teacher Workload Survey 2016 report identified that 93 per cent of respondents felt workload in their schools was a fairly serious problem and 52 per cent cited it as a very serious problem.
