The Secondary Leadership Papers and Primary Leadership Papers, under the skillful editorship of Hilary Street, have been a hallmark publication of the National Association of Headteachers for over 10 years now.
Hilary has contributed massively to thought in educational leadership over that time and NAHT have hugely valued her work. Now that Hilary has chosen to move on from her role I have been asked to take responsibility for the series. As part of our regular discussions on the direction of the papers Hilary and I had often felt that there was a need to change the way the series works to create something that could be more flexible in its coverage of education leadership issues and the many phases that NAHT supports. The terms 'Primary' and 'Secondary' education have become too limiting for the series.
The new 'Education Leadership' papers seek to explore issues with more breadth where necessary, whilst also reserving the right to be phase specific if that becomes appropriate.
