Headteacher, Principal and Senior managers 14-19 conferences - Preparing for 2010

The DCSF and NAHT in association with our partners ASCL, AOC and NASUWT, would like to invite members to attend one of 5 regional events in June 2009, which will provide an overview of the 14-19 reform programme, helping schools or colleges get ready to deliver the reforms in September 2009 and explore the preparations required for 2010.

The objectives of the conferences are to:

• Take part in a strategic conversation with government about the 14-19 education reforms and the new requirement on all young people to participate in education or training until their 18th birthday

• Learn from colleagues about their experiences to date, including those who have been teaching Diplomas and those who have participated in the functional skills pilots
• Have the opportunity to interact with Ministers
