Safeguarding: Awareness Raising Presentation

protection

The attached presentation is the result of a collaboration between the Norfolk Branch of NAHT and Norfolk County Council, who have agreed to make it available to NAHT members as a framework for use in their schools.

Its authors have been mindful of the current Ofsted focus on Safeguarding.

Ofsted expects that:

  • schools meet allsafeguarding regulations and duties;

  • arrangements and policies for safeguarding are in line with government requirements and systematically reviewed;

  • that all staff are suitably trained.

This presentation is a useful tool to support that last of these expectations, as it may be adapted to reflect individual school situations. It is not intended to replace certificated courses or training but to have a much wide audience and to enable all the members of a school staff to work together.
