AQA Biology Unit 4

Pupil concerns over the above have found expression on Facebook. Having explored this although there are 10,000 ‘members’ fewer than 300 had made comments. Furthermore, only around half of these were overtly critical of the examination and the grounds for criticism varied from accusations of it being reliant on common sense and devoid of scientific content to opinions that the scientific content was too difficult.

It is difficult to judge to what extent there were problems with the examination and to what extent the issues are clouded by the modern phenomenon of the ‘cyber mob’. Having discussed this with Isabel Nisbett from Ofqual, could members with concerns about the examination forward them to Sion Humphreys at Headquarters who will collate them and forward the results to Ofqual.
