Partnerships and Timetabling

Posted By Hilary Sargeant at 31/03/2009 13:20:04

One of the hugely practical difficulties faced by members of 14-19 partnerships is the necessity to have some form of joint timetabling.

Many of the early partnerships have agreed one or two days each week which will be when Diplomas and other option courses will be delivered. This has already caused some predictable difficulties even in year one.

Next year, when more yeargroups will need to be timetabled, it will be even more tricky to ensure that the rest of the core subject tuition can take place in a suitable and manageable way. Double English twice on one day is not the best approach (one might argue) !

If you have any solutions, suggestions etc, we would be interested to hear about them.

And please raise any issues you would like to share with other colleagues.
