NAHT and ASCL welcome the opportunity to respond to the consultation on the STPCD 2012.
NAHT and ASCL have suggested that the DfE should, as soon as possible, issue guidance around the timing, process and standards to be used during the transition between the Performance Management Regulations and the new Appraisal Regulations/Teachers’ Standards.
The associations are also concerned at the extent of the misinformation that is spreading across wide areas of the country in relation to the status of UPS, threshold, AST posts and Excellent Teacher posts .
