Prevent Strategic Partnerships are seeking assistance in promoting a national youth consultation exercise being carried out by the national counter-terrorism policing headquarters.
They are inviting young people from across the UK to take part in the Youth Online Understanding Radicalisation (YOUR) survey to find out how they are affected by the serious issues of radicalisation and travel to areas of conflict such as Syria and Iraq.
Protecting vulnerable young people and safeguarding the UK from terrorists and terrorism from overseas continues to be a high priority area for the policing network and key partners.
It is important for young people to share their views and opinions on this issue, not only to increase understanding of how the police can challenge misperceptions, but also so they can communicate with them more effectively. It is their chance to influence change and help improve access to information.
All participants in the short survey will remain anonymous and the information provided will only be used for the purposes of this research.
The survey can be found at www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/139832MNCUQ/?x=009.
