We publicised this research project in September. The research is being conducted alongside work being undertaken at the NCSL on developing excellence in governance. Prof Chris James, from the University of Bath, is carrying out the research and has sent the following message:
As you may be aware, we are currently researching the role of chair of school governing body in England. As part of our research we are surveying head teachers about the role.
