A guidance document from Ofsted has been updated to include clarification around marking.
The document confirms facts about their requirements and aims to dispel myths that can result in unnecessary workloads in schools.

Ofsted inspections: clarification for schools - Publications - GOV.UK
It should be read alongside the school inspection handbook, which can also be found on the Ofsted website.
This document is intended to highlight specific practices that are not required by Ofsted, but states that it is up to schools themselves to determine their practices and for leadership teams to justify them on their own merits rather than by reference to the inspection handbook.
