NAHT comment on Ofsted report into school careers advice

Russell Hobby, general secretary of NAHT (National Association of Head Teachers), said: “The infrastructure and funding for independent careers advice has been cut away, stranding schools and letting down young people. Schools need support on careers guidance, access to specialists and a national framework for delivering it. With the best will in the world, schools alone can struggle to track the latest developments in the job market or to be fully impartial about options between ages 16-19.”
