We recently reported
that the government released the names of schools that have opted in early for the Progress 8 measure, a new secondary school accountability system.
The DfE has since added more detailed information to its document
about the Progress 8 measure it’ll be introducing in 2016.
The revised document is more detailed than its predecessor, providing detailed explanation of how KS2 fine levels are calculated. It also states that the current 'expected progress' levels measure will no longer appear from 2016.
NAHT has queried this with DfE as it implies that there will be two published progress measures in 2016. DfE has clarified that this will not be the case and that there will be no ‘expected progress’ measure published in 2016.
