Early Years: demonstrating good progress, meeting Ofsted's expectations

Course description

How well do young children learn in your school?  How do you monitor, evaluate and develop practice in your Early Years provision?  How do you measure and demonstrate the progress they make?  Do you know what is expected of Early Years provision now and in the future?  Do you know what effective Early Years practice looks like?  This course will help you to understand how Ofsted will judge your Early Years provision, the different ways you can demonstrate progress and how you can evaluate and develop your Early Years practice.  This course will be a mixture of informative, reflective and practical activities delivered by a specialist consultant in their field.

Aims of this course

  • reflect on your own and/or your school's practice in Early Years
  • understand what good and outstanding practice looks like in Early Years
  • evaluate your Early Years provision based on current requirements, assessment changes and Ofsted expectations
  • monitor and evaluate your progress in Early Years provision
  • identify, plan and make improvements to your Early Years provision
  • develop manageable systems for evidencing good progress
