Course description
How well do young children learn in your school? How do you measure the progress they make in the Early Years Foundation Stage? How effective is your early years environment in ensuring children can be independent, develop creativity and problem solving skills? Are your early years practitioners experts in highly effective interaction? Do they model learning behaviour? Does the observation, assessment and planning system drive children's leaning and development? Changes to the Early Years Foundation Stage are having implications for the way we approach early years teaching. How has your school effectively adapted?
Some schools may have overlooked recent changes to Ofsted's inspection framework and the implications for the inspection of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Every part of the Early Years Foundation Stage environment is an opportunity for learning. This course offers practical information for the development of the environment, practitioner interaction and effective observation, assessment and planning to ensure all children make progress. This will also include opportunities for reflection and sharing good practice.
