"This was the best conference I have attended for many years. It was fantastic value for money. It was so good to meet with other new heads. All the workshops were well delivered and informative. I came away feeling inspired and more confident in my new role." Sharon Wiltshire, Co-Head Teacher

There is no other job which has quite so much potential to make a difference. NAHT want to help you make that difference. In your first headship you will face both excitement and challenge and it will be important to continue to invest in your own skills and to find time for reflection.

This NAHT CPD for new head teachers has been formulated by successful and experienced head teachers from all sectors. It provides sound foundations, so that you return to your school equipped to develop and deliver your vision or plan your pathway to headship, as well as prioritising the daily demands of your new role. You will hear insights from practitioners; gain a picture of the changing educational landscape; and consider ways to sustain your personal resilience throughout your career.

NAHT provides the highest standards of support and advice throughout your time as a school leader whether you will be leading in the early years, primary, secondary or special schools and alternative provision.

"Superb day, inspiring and providing this newly appointed Head teacher with plenty to take on and move forward. With a clear and concise message as to the importance of strength in headship, yet not to the detriment of your whole life. The whole positivity of the day reflects my own personal belief as to how I do my job.
