Joining NAHT - FAQs

 

Q         When does my membership start?

 

A         By joining online your membership will start on the 1st of the following month, i.e. apply online 17th May, membership begins 1st June.

 

Q         I want my membership to start in three months time, is this possible?

 

        Yes, but at present you cannot join using the online facility. Please email your name and contact details to joinus@naht.org.uk to request an application form.

 

Q         I am currently acting in my present role what rate do I pay?

 

        Acting headteachers will pay the deputy headteacher rate and acting deputy headteachers pay the assistant head rate. If your post is made permanent, please contact our membership department at membership@naht.org.uk

 

Q         My school is based on a BPFO base overseas. Do I pay the overseas rate?

 

A         No, the good news, as you are employed in a BFPO school you only have to pay the UK rate
