This NAHT and SSAT event is hosted by Professor Dylan Wiliam. Professor Wiliam is one of Britain's leading educationalists and has a distinguished reputation for work that has had a major influence on classroom practice.
The event, for primary leaders and teachers, is the product of ten years of research into the AfL practice that makes a difference to student achievement and how you can embed this practice in every classroom.
Professor Wiliam will explain:
-
why raising achievement is important, for individuals and for society;
-
why formative assessment should be the focus;
-
what it should look like in the classroom;
-
why investing in teachers is the answer;
-
why teacher learning communities should be the mechanism;
-
how schools can put this into practice.
Delegates will leave the day with an action plan for change that abandons unproven methods and 'quick fix' approaches, and instead focuses on the power of teachers to raise student achievement.
The embedding formative assessment professional development pack, which provides CPD resources to run a teacher learning community for one year, is available to delegates at a reduced price of £100 (normally £160).
Cost:
£175 / £275 NAHT members & SSAT affiliates / with pack.
£200 / £300 Non NAHT members & SSAT non-affiliates / with pack.
